Grow your provision. Improve quality consistency.
EOS e‑learning delivers the knowledge, skills and behaviours your learners need, so your tutors spend their time on the coaching, assessment and feedback that set you apart from your competition. Tutor caseloads grow, quality stays consistent, and our Individualisation Engine makes sure every learner gets the specific support they need.
What is EOS e‑learning?
EOS e‑learning is apprenticeship, wider skills and functional skills content built for funded training providers. Every apprenticeship programme is built to the standard's KSBs, the mandatory qualification or technical certificate where there is one, and the EPA outcomes and amplification the learner will be assessed against. That's the minimum. Then we build in what the learner needs to be ready for the job itself.
For hands-on trades, give the workshop back to the work.
Hands-on practical trade skills will never be replaced by e‑learning. But a lot of what currently fills workshop time doesn't need to be there. Non-technical content like personal development and legislation can be delivered by e‑learning before the learner arrives, instead of eating into supervised time on the tools.
Move that content out and you get expensive practical time back where it counts. Run fewer sessions for more learners, or keep the session count the same and fill it with more of the hands-on work learners actually came to do.
Say yes to new opportunities.
Take advantage of new trends in apprenticeships by diversifying into areas such as digital and AI, or strengthen your core offering with additional standards to meet an existing customer's needs.
Standardise and then individualise.
EOS e‑learning provides the same core teaching, for every standard, every time. Quality doesn't drift as you scale, regardless of how many tutors you have, or their individual coaching styles.
How EOS e‑learning earns its price.
Scale your provision profitably.
With EOSONE you'll move some delivery into EOS e‑learning, giving your tutors time back to focus on one-to-one coaching, and increasing the number of learners each tutor can support.
This is what turns growth the right way round, and makes you more profitable at the same time. It frees up your existing tutors, creates extra capacity from the headcount you already have, and removes the risk of recruiting ahead of demand.
Off the Job hours, built in and evidenced.
EOS e‑learning doesn't just build learner capability. Because every section is built to the standard, each one stands as a genuine, defensible hour of OTJ. You start with a substantial part of your OTJ evidenced and audit-ready before you add activities, workshops and coaching on top.
Know exactly what to coach, for every learner.
Silence Ofsted with our Individualisation Engine SOP. Using our unique KSB quizzes and Skills Trackers, your tutor doesn't have to spend time working out what to prioritise for every learner. The specific KSBs and categories to lead with are laid out in front of them, ready to take straight into the coaching session.
100% delivered and evidenced.
The EOS e‑learning resource library delivers all of your wider skills, including hot topics, CIAG, and workplace literacy and numeracy, so your tutors never deliver it again. A certificate lands on the learner's dashboard as soon as they complete the quiz.
It also contains a library full of functional skills resources from Entry 3 to Level 2, for both English and maths.

And if we don't hold what you deliver, we build it.
We'll build any standard you need that isn't already in the library. If you deliver it, we can build the content for it.
Curated content vs. content built for the standard.
A lot of e‑learning is content curated to fill an OTJ log, with blogs, slides and videos pulled together to give learners some further OTJ activity. EOS e‑learning content is built from the standard up, for a different set of outcomes. Here's what that difference looks like in practice.
| ✕Curated content | ✓EOS e‑learning | |
|---|---|---|
| Quality and availability | You have no control over quality or availability. Links get taken down, videos get removed, and items go out of date without warning. | We collect feedback on our e‑learning regularly, update content quarterly, and add new wider skills content at regular intervals. |
| OTJ training | Harder to defend as OTJ, because it isn't built to the standard. The learner is left to work out how to apply it to their apprenticeship, because it's pure knowledge. | Every section is built to the specifics of the standard, and defensible as OTJ. It builds capability and tests it, rather than just teaching knowledge. |
| Individualisation | A manual job. You have no way of knowing what a learner has actually understood, only what they've completed. | A full Individualisation Engine across every KSB. You don't just know what has been understood, you know specifically what hasn't, so you get maximum value from every coaching session. |

Frequently asked questions
EOS apprenticeship e‑learning provides between 64 and 119 hours of OTJ training per standard, depending on the standard or qualification. Because every section is built specifically around the standard, each one stands as a genuine, defensible hour of OTJ learning, evidenced before you add workshops, coaching or shadowing on top. The OTJ pop-up collects the learner's evidence as each section is completed.
Every KSB in a standard has its own bank of quiz questions, and where a KSB covers more than one element, each question is tagged to a category within it. When a learner completes a quiz, the results come back to the tutor broken down by KSB and by category, so they can see exactly which part of which KSB the learner has and hasn't grasped. The Skills Tracker is part of the same engine, so if a learner feels a KSB hasn't moved forward, the tutor can prioritise it in the next coaching session.
The tutor takes that straight into the coaching session, and the same output evidences both that individualisation happened for each learner and that you have a process guaranteeing it every time.
Yes. Every programme is built to the standard's KSBs, the mandatory qualification or technical certificate where there is one, and the EPA outcomes the learner is assessed against. We start from the EPA to understand how the learner will be tested and how the KSBs pair together, then build the capability the learner needs, including the additional content that gets them ready for the job itself.
Providers ask us this a lot. How do they stand out from competitors who also use our content? We say two things.
First, e‑learning is one part of your delivery. The coaching, support, workshops and activities that sit around it are all down to your expertise, and they remain your USP.
Second, if your competitors have our e‑learning, can you afford not to?
If a customer asks for a standard you don't currently offer, you can say yes. We hold the e‑learning for a wide range of standards and build any we don't already have, so all you need to do is plug in a tutor and your delivery model. The content, the OTJ hours and the Individualisation Engine already exist for the standard, which takes a large part of the risk out of diversifying.
The Individualisation Engine evidences that individualisation was carried out for each learner and that you have a process guaranteeing it every time. Alongside that, you have the OTJ hours each learner has completed and their distance travelled recorded against the KSBs, giving you individualisation details, OTJ training and distance travelled in one place.
Yes, and it protects your practical time rather than replacing it. Hands-on skills can only be taught in the room, but a lot of what currently fills practical sessions, such as health and safety, legislation, personal development and the names of tools and PPE, can be delivered by e‑learning beforehand. That gives you supervised time back to run more cohorts with the same trainer, or to spend more of each session on the practical work itself.

We start with the EPA, because understanding how a learner will be tested tells us what capability they actually need to build, not just what knowledge to cover. Then we go further. This learner has a job to do after the programme, so where they need more to walk into work able to succeed, we build it in.
Every capability is built using the EOS e‑learning five-archetype structure, and every KSB is covered, either by combining KSBs into a single capability or by teaching the underpinning knowledge first and then layering the skill that applies it.
This is what building capability means at EOS. It isn't content to read and forget. It's structured so a learner can understand the knowledge, apply the skill, and demonstrate the behaviour the standard and the EPA demand, then carry that capability into the job itself.
